The word library is made up of a book and aalaya. It means the home of books. Since books give us knowledge, the library can be called the ‘ocean of knowledge’. Just as the ocean contains the water of all the rivers in a short time, in the library all kinds of books useful for students are stored.
There is also a middle-class library in my school. It has a good collection of ancient and new books. Books related to various subjects like literature and language, science, culture, history, geography, sociology, general knowledge etc. are collected here. Books by eminent writers like Premchand, Subhadrakumari Chauhan, Ramdhari Singh Dinkar, Jaishankar Prasad, Sumitranandan Pant, Shakespeare, Wordswar, Tulsidas are available here. Books related to various subjects like painting, culinary arts, Vagwani etc. are also in good number here.
All students of the school are members of the library. From here they can take home to read favorite books. When a student asks for books from the president of the library, they give it immediately when available. While giving books, the name and date of the book are written on the student’s card and library book. It is also recorded how long the book is being given. If a student does not return books at the specified time or in a mutilated condition, the student is fined. Some students do not keep the books in the right condition or mark them with pen-pencil. that is not good .

The library in my school is in a big room. There are many steel shelves here. Shelves have drawers in which books are kept in order. The incharge of the library keeps a complete account of them. Proper arrangements are made here to protect books from mice and termites. Every year new books keep coming here due to which there is no shortage of books in the library.
Apart from books in the library, magazines and newspapers are also available. Teachers and students sit here and study them. The library has tables and chairs for the readers to sit. Everyone maintains peace while reading so that there is no disturbance to others. This rule applies equally to all types of libraries, not only with the library of the school.

The school library is very useful for students. From here, books and books are distributed free of cost to poor and meritorious students. Books are given free to other students for some duration to read. Students can take story comics and magazines home from here for their entertainment.
